About me

An engineer at heart. A builder by instinct.

I’m Atmaram Naik. I move between code, people, and product — connecting engineering decisions to what a team can achieve.

My career began in 2006 with automation for financial systems. Consulting at Thoughtworks, principal engineering at Symbl.ai, and leading quality at Sedin broadened the scope. Building things has remained the constant.

Today, I lead 35+ QE professionals and am a co-founder of Sedstart. Outside that work, I create open source tools and share the lessons through QA Lens and conference talks.

How I work

  • Stay close to the code

Build prototypes. Understand the system. Test the idea.

  • Grow the capability

Give people real problems, practical tools, and room to learn.

  • Share the learning

Turn delivery experience into tools, writing, and conversations.

What keeps me curious

Current research

Resilient automation

Exploring locator healing and contextual element identification. Candidate confidence and ambiguity should determine when automation can recover and when it needs human review.

Agentic test engineering

Exploring AI support for authoring, maintenance, and failure analysis, with versioned artifacts, explicit guardrails, and deterministic test execution.
